4 Star Recruit Cam Ward Recaps Official Visit To Tony Bennett Led Virginia

4-star recruit Cam Ward recaps official visit to Tony Bennett-led Virginia

After taking an official visit to Virginia over the weekend, Cam Ward put the Cavaliers in his final three schools.

The 6'8" power forward out of North Carolina is one of the top remaining uncommitted prospects in the 2023 class.

He is also considering North Carolina and UCLA.

Virginia is hoping to add Ward to a recruiting class that already includes four-star guard Isaac Traudt and three-star forward Leon Bond.

The Cavaliers are also in the running for five-star guard Simeon Wilcher and four-star forward Christian Reeves.

If Virginia is able to land Ward, it would be a major coup for Bennett and his staff.

Ward is a skilled big man who can score inside and out.

He is also a good rebounder and defender.

He would be a valuable addition to a Virginia team that is looking to compete for an ACC championship and make a deep run in the NCAA Tournament.

Ward said he enjoyed his visit to Virginia and that he was impressed with Bennett and his staff.

He also said that he was impressed with the Cavaliers' facilities and the atmosphere at John Paul Jones Arena.

"I had a great time on my visit to Virginia," Ward said.

"Coach Bennett and his staff were great, and I really enjoyed talking to them about their program."

"I was also impressed with the facilities and the atmosphere at John Paul Jones Arena."

"Virginia is a great school with a great basketball program, and I'm definitely considering them in my decision."

Ward is expected to make a decision on his college choice in the coming weeks.
